The Israel Museum was honored to host Patriarch Bartholomew, the Archbishop of Constantinople and spiritual leader of over 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide, during his visit to Jerusalem this week. The Archbishop visited the Shrine of the Book, the Second Temple Model, and enjoyed a brief tour of the Archaeology Wing with Museum Director James Snyder. Along the way, the Archbishop greeted a group of visiting schoolchildren and stopped to pose with The Pipe Smoker (Chana Orloff, 1924). Photos: Yair Hovav
