The James Jackson Museum of African American History is organizing the Muskegon chapter of an international poetry event called 100 Thousand Poets for Change. The date is Saturday, Sept. 27th, to be hosted at the museum. This worldwide event is a celebration of socially conscious poetry, music and performance art. Poets and artists from around the world will be taking part that day simultaneously across the globe using their art to speak out for social betterment and change. This is a wonderful chance to get your work and name out there on a wide scale, as well as an opportunity to use your art as a vehicle for social change. The event will be video recorded and displayed on the 100,000 Poets for Change web site, as well as on YouTube and other social media platforms in order to reach a worldwide audience.
