United have already set aside £120m to bring the Welsh forward back to the Premier League. But they hope Januzaj can be the sweetener to seal a transfer without having to give up David De Gea. Chelsea are closing in on deals for Juan Cuadrado and Douglas Costa. Jose Mourinho had suggested that January would be a quiet month at Stamford Bridge. But he now looks set to splash out £43m to bring in a pair of new faces with Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle heading for the exit. Arsene Wenger has revealed that he wanted to sign Angel Di Maria for Arsenal. The Gunners tracked Di Maria as a 17-year-old before work permit problems scuppered a move. Di Maria joined Manchester United in a £60m deal over the summer having previously played at Benfica and Real Madrid. Liverpool and Tottenham have been boosted in the race for Ezequiel Lavezzi. PSG boss Laurent Blanc has run out of patience with the Argentine star, who went AWOL earlier this month. And he has now told PSG chiefs that he wants Lavezzi gone by the end of January.
