The Jewish woman that filed the suit against Paula Deen and her brother Bubba only wanted to be respected and effectively do her job. She wanted to be fairly compensated for her work and commitment toward growing a business that was failing. But the exchange was none of the above. She endured a very hostile and corrupt working environment. She witnessed inhumane treatment toward the staff she was to lead while being berated and physically assaulted in and out of her office.Clearly Deen and her brother’s thoughts and hearts are still centered in the “old south”. The root of hate is ignorance and the resistance of change. Deen and her brother’s refusal to change their hearts and thoughts toward people could cost everything she’s worked for. I don’t endorse tragedy on anyone but I very openly and passionately endorse change. In this case I implore whoever reads this to include Paula Deen and her brother Bubba in your prayers for change. Pray for a change of heart and a change of mind. Pray that the mind of Christ so overwhelm them that they in turn they become what Pastah Curtis Johnson calls “change agents" within their vast sphere of influence. I hate what happened to Ms. Jackson and the employees that worked under her. What they experienced is nothing new…there’s just a new poster child to confirm that it still exists. #prayingfortheirsoul
