The Job Creator myth is basically a Republican invention. Its based on the seemingly logical point that reduced costs for running businesses mean that those businesses can create more jobs, as if the lives of business owners revolved around the idea of hiring people. Nothing could be further from the truth. When a business owner MUST hire people thats usually a sign that demand is beyond capacity, which means growth and is usually a good thing for most businesses. But in reality, businesses are all about widening the margin between costs and income and hiring people is simply a reluctant necessity alleviated by research and development in technology aimed at getting more work out of fewer people.
