The June Lake Winter Festival returns for another year. This year the Snowmobile Poker Rally has joined the Festival! A weekend of activities and entertainment for all, including The Triple Threat Winter Triathlon, The Family Fun Zone, The June Lake Village Snow Stroll, and The Snowmobile Rally…all happening in the June Lake Loop February 28th – March 1st, 2014. Friday, February 28th 2014: 10am/All day: Local businesses will start constructing their snowman/snow sculptures in front of their individual businesses (multiple locations along Boulder Dr.) 1-4pm: Triple Threat & Snowmobile Rally Registration at the kiosk opens (June Lake Junction) 2-4pm: Triple Threat Laser Rifle Shooting Clinic 6pm: Event Welcome Party at the Sierra Inn: pizza, salad, last minute registration and packet pick-up. Saturday, March 1st, 2014: 6:30 – 10:00am: FREE Pancake Breakfast at the June Lake Community Center. Breakfast will be served from 6:30 – 10:00am. Breakfast items include: biscuits/gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. There is no charge for this breakfast, donations are appreciated. 8am: Triple Threat On-Site Registration and Packet-Pick Up 10am: Triple Threat race begins (snowshoeing, shooting, and cross country skiing) 11am: Snowmobile Rally will begin at the kiosk for a poker run and/or a guided adventure into the Eastern Sierra backcountry. All levels of riders are welcome. Snowmobiles will be available to rent on-site. 12pm: Triple Threat Award Ceremony 12-5pm: The Family Fun Zone opens in the June Mountain parking lot. This event will include: a family obstacle race, snowman making competition, winter Olympic games, music, food/drink vendors, and a small sledding area for kids. 1-6:30pm: Public voting begins on the June Lake Village Snow Stroll (snowman/snow sculpture business walk). Each participating business builds a snowman/sculpture and hosts an activity at hand when you stop by to view their sculpture. Saturday Evenings activities, will include the Double Eagle Resorts own After-Event Party, with live entertainment!
