The Kiffness is very happy to be performing at Brass Bell this Saturday for a very good cause. Our friend Kassie Paschke has organised THE MATCHBOX MASH UP to raise money for a friend that after 7 years of remission from breast cancer was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer about a month ago. In the last four weeks she has undergone three major surgeries to remove tumours and has been in and out of ICU but the cancer has continued to spread at a rapid rate throughout her lungs, liver, colon, spine, arm, legs, head. Her medical bills at the moment with all the ICU stays and ops are somewhere between R100 000 – R200 000 a week of which her medical aid will only cover a third. Doctors at the moment are trying to get her well enough to start chemotherapy. One session of chemotherapy alone costs about R20 000.00. On top of this she has a 10 year old little boy who currently attends Fish Hoek Primary to think about. Kassies goal is to raise R20 000.00 for her so that she knows that at least her first chemo session is paid for. If you cant go then consider making a donation.
