The Kilian Cupboard initiative is being undertaken by Saint Kilian Parish, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society (Saint Kilian Council) and the Knights of Columbus (Saint Kilian Conference) as an outreach to the community and as a direct response to Pope Franciss exhortation to go out into the margins. In short, The Kilian Cupboard will offer fellowship dinners and food pantry services to the surrounding community. In an attempt to jump start their efforts, Saint Kilian Parish School Student Council is organizing a Food Drive. Each grade level has a list of suggested items. All of the items will be given to The Kilian Cupboard by Thanksgiving. The grade level who donates the most items per student will be rewarded by being allowed to pick the school lunch one day later in the year! Our goal is to stock The Kilian Cupboard with enough supplies to help those in need during the holiday season. Aprils grade is asked to collect canned soup of any kind. If anyone would like to donate soup, feel free to drop it at my front door, the last day being Monday, November 25th. Thanks!
