The Kings heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he - TopicsExpress

The Kings heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will (Prov 21:1) Jesus often used the image of water to describe Gods abundant mercy and salvation. He said. let anyone who is thirsty come to me..... (Jn 7:37) He also told the Samaritan woman that if she recognized him she would have asked for and received living water (Jn 4:10) Our Hindu brothers and sisters go in their thousands to their sacred Ganga for healing, cleansing and purification. For us it is Jesus who is the river of life., the source of living water where we can be healed, cleansed and purified. What message does the word of God give us today? The Lord weighs the heart (Prov 21:2). The Gospel tells us that large crowds came to Jesus - because they knew that his heart was the source of their healing. We too must go to Jesus to be washed in the water that pours from his heart. So that we can become like Mary. So that we can be people who hear the word of God and do it. Then our hearts can become streams of living water in the hand of the Lord and he can pour us out where he wills to bring his salvation to a world thirsting for grace. Do I believe I can become a stream of water in the hand of the Lord? How can I begin?
