The Kremlin started a full scale war in Ukraine bringing fighters in civilian trucks yet in uniforms and with heavy weapon. What makes people confused: we really do not understand what do they want, what theyre fighting for? There are no demands. So far it looks like the aim of the mercenaries is to destroy Donbas and create chaos. Neither Ukrainians no Europeans arent intellectually capable to understand Moscow, since we used to believe that people fight for something. Therefore we try to guess or invent their demands instead of them. But: 1. If the local population wants social equality - they had been deprived by Yanukovych and local crooks (backed and blackmailed by Kremlin) - the gunmen do not propose anything to the people. How such demands correlate with kidnapping of local filmmakers, miners, trade union members, human right defenders? 2. If the language is the problem, the local people were offered a change. But the gunmen didnt allow people to learn this since the Russian media dont tell that. 3. If the the local population demands more power to regions - the gunmen were disrupting local and mayor elections, threatening those who wanted to open the polls. But that could be the easiest and the fastest way to vote for own guys and own rights. 4. If the local population wants stability - the bunch of gunmen doesnt bring it and looters became usual guests. The phrase collateral damage is unacceptable. There is not collateral damage there are humans. As there should be responsibility for every civilian death. I believe the first victim of a war is not the truth but a human life. I am very cautious with misuse of the word terrorist (while BBC still call the gunmen proRussian activists ). There is local populations, but the only word which fit for the gunmen is mercenaries
