The Kumai unit of the TMC, which was formed two weeks ago, today held a public meeting here at a playground. Party leaders KN Subba, Urgen Sherpa and Krishna Adhikari were present along with local leaders Subash Bhujel, Dhiraj Rai, JB Chamling and Dawa Tamang. Krishna Adhikari said as the Trinamool Congress is a national level partym it will develop the hills adding casual workers can be regularised by the TMC but not by the GJM. He also compared the GJM to a woolen sweater where the wool has started to unwind and predicted the hill party will lose all support within six months’ time. KN Subba too came down harshly on GJM leaders accusing them of indulging in rampant corruption during the agitation period. He also accused GJM leaders of engaging in criminal activities and justified their arrests. Ten GJM youths from Kumai and Upper Bhalukhop joined the TMC at the meeting and were handed with party flags by Krishna Adhikari and KN Subba.
