“The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation. Numbers 14:18”. I am in a car, travelling to get to my desired destination. I am eager to get there on time, I am excited and thrilled about my journey. Suddenly, there comes a traffic light which stays red for a while. I lose my patience because I am in a hurry to get to my destination. I become agitated. The light changes eventually and I continue with my travel happily. I am no longer angry. Then there comes a traffic jam. It is really bad. I am very angry. I am thinking of cutting corners and take another route. I lose all my patience. Does it all sound familiar? Let us just imagine for a moment what would happen to us if God lost His patience with us? Thank God He is so patient with us waiting to give us another chance and is slow to anger! Prayer: Dear Lord, please help not to be impatient, not to anger You but to be righteous. Amen! RC
