The Lady Fighting Chicks headed to the woods of the Deer Creek - TopicsExpress

The Lady Fighting Chicks headed to the woods of the Deer Creek Antlers last night to play two games. The Purple Chicks had gotten their rhythm on and were prepared to rack up some Antlers. Kelsi Gore took the mound and held the Deer Creek Antlers to one hit for two innings. After a quick first inning and no scoring, the Chicks lit a fire under the Chick bats. The Chicks came back like chain smokers, scored two runs in the second, and the Beast (Lynssie Elam) knocked a 3-run homer in the third. The Antlers tried to make a stab at the Chicks with a run in the third and fourth inning, but Gores pitching was on point and held the Antlers. Game ended with another win in the Chick column 5-2. Next up, Junior Varsity and Sully took the mound. The Chick bats struck early and put two runs on the board in the first inning and an additional run in the scond inning. Two more runs were added in the fourth inning for the Chicks. Gilbert came in behind Sully and held the Antlers to get the save. The game ended in a tie 5-5.
