The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence in San Francisco, CA is looking for interns! (unpaid) The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence is a national non-profit organization devoted to preventing the loss of lives caused by gun violence by providing trusted, in-depth information on America’s gun laws. The Law Center grew out of the July 1, 1993 assault weapon massacre that began at a law firm at 101 California Street in San Francisco. For the past twenty years, the Law Center has provided legal assistance to advocates and community leaders seeking local and statewide regulatory solutions to prevent gun violence. The Communications Intern provides support in developing all of the organization’s communications, including email and mailing outreach, social media engagement, and info graphic, video, and new media development. This is a great opportunity to work on a small team to learn about communications styles and develop all types of communications for a worthy and complex cause. The Communications Intern position is perfect for those with a diverse skill set, especially for those interested in public policy.
