The Legal Aid bill, cuts to support services, the closure of refuges as the government cuts their funding, the bedroom tax and the fact that housing benefit is no longer payable for those women and children in shelters all indicate this governments disdain and contempt for women, and especially those who are vulnerable through no fault of their own. The austerity measures gave hit women the hardest. This government dont give a damn about us - take a look at how few female Tory MPs there are,too. They have taken us back to social Darwinist, pre-Victorian attitudes and authoritarian patriachy.
