The Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve was recently awarded a certificate of excellence from Trip advisor, and this comment is just one of the reasons why, “We have visited Eleuthera many times, but this year was the first that we ventured into Leon Levy. It is an excellent preserve, which has been extremely carefully constructed from native scrub land. It gives the visitor to the island an insight into not only the plants seen on the island today, but also into the historical agricultural heritage of the island through its newest section. The narrow paths really do allow the visitor to feel as if they are venturing into unknown territory...excellent - especially if you are lucky enough to encounter the bat wing moths! At the top of the site is a wonderful look out, where you can really appreciate his unspoilt and wild the island really is.
