The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), one of the most historic bills in Californias education funding history has recently been signed into law by the Govenor. For many years, the way California funded our schools was inadequate. Now, with LCFF school districts have the opportunity to use money in a way that makes sense for the students they serve. Come to one of our Info & Action sessions or State Board of Education hearings to learn about LCFF and how you can ensure that parents and community members have a voice to improve schools and student outcomes. LCFF Upcoming Deadlines On January 15-16, 2014, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Director of Finance, and the State Controller will hold a hearing about updating standards and criteria for use by Local Education Agencies in the adoption of local budgets.
