The Lord moves in ways that we will never understand. My chest is so very tight right now. I went to Minyards to get some groceries. I walked down the aisle and this woman just screamed my name. I looked over and just gave here hug. She said that she had been trying to reach me for days. She had left message after message. I told her I didnt get any messages. She should have known if I didnt return her phone call something was wrong. I asked whats up?(then my heart stopped) She told me that her son, Kris had been shot. The tears just welled up in my eyes because I thought, Lord, am I going to have to bury another of my students? This one is just as special to me as Q was. Thank you Jesus, he was not killed. The bullet, a 22, is still lodged in his collar bone. It cant be removed but he is alive. I immediately called him to make sure he was okay. He was ambulanced to Baylor also. I am really beginning to dislike Baylor hospital. I am beginning to think about what that counselor at Comstock told me 20 years ago. She said, Mrs. Calico, you care too much about your students, you take things too personal. Naw, I dont think so, but I thank GOD he spared the life of Kristopher. Thank YOU JESUS!!!I am still a little dizzy and nervous, to think that he was almost killed.
