The Lord shared this with me prophetically years ago and I shared it with others leaders and believers who didnt quite see the urgency of my concern. We have moved to a place where real discussion about beliefs are now off the table with most. In fact to even question the soundness or truth about ones belief is seen as quite offensive and inconsiderate. The problem is we dont realize the silent long term impact of such a stance. When we cant come together and dialogue on truth, values, beliefs, then we are creating a resistance to growth and maturity as well as an open door for unsound teaching and beliefs to capture the hearts and minds of many, especially our youth. At the end of the day, you can still walk away, but say we believe the same things without seeing it we believe the same things is a poor assumption with major spiritual implications. And worst to my experience, the refusal of dialogue happens most with spiritual leaders, those responsible teaching and training with soundness and integrity. Isolation on create room to reinforce beliefs without the ability for those beliefs to be tested. Comments (not personal attacks) are welcomed.
