The Lovely Capucine And so they cast her to the wind This beauty of Lausanne. Out on the lake They carried her urn On board The Daughter of Toulon. The sun was high The wind set fair As friends gathered to say adieu, To one who suffered her mortal coil In the depths of mental pain. A violin played Ashokan’s Farewell As they cast her to the wind Her ashes hovering above the lake In a dance of heavenly grace. On the crest of a breeze her ashes rose Above The Daughter of Toulon And way above mountain tops Till they kissed the face of God – And there to stardust made. The sparkling form lit up the sphere As another soul set free, Then the Breath of God Blew them earthward bound On a mission of relief To seek out other souls in pain And rest upon their brows To let them know They’re not alone In their world of mental pain. If one precious speck Upon on a worried brow Can ease a soul in pain Pray, let this be the legacy Of the lovely Capucine – The beauty of Lausanne.
