The Lucas County EMA director told us tonight that it was a false alarm when the sirens sounded through the county earlier this evening. There was some confusion about a new policy that was put into place earlier this year. When the Severe T-Storm Warning was issued for the county the sirens were mistakenly activated. We are told a meeting has been scheduled for Monday to make sure everyone understands the protocol. No tornado warnings have been issued tonight, and the severe weather threat is ending across our area.
