MANAGER, BALLPARK OPERATIONS JOB FUNCTION: Assumes responsibility for the management of general operations at Target Field. Oversees housekeeping operations and event-day logistics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Manages Target Field contracts for housekeeping/cleaning, trash hauling, pest control, and other operational areas. Oversees the purchasing of supplies and equipment for said contracts. • Assists in creation of budgets for above areas. Responsible for expense management, cost controls, and quality assurance for above areas. • Coordinates implementation of green-cleaning and sustainable waste initiatives as directed. • Coordinates facility setup prior to, and teardown after each home game. Supervises part-time staff tasked with completing setup and teardown. • Responsible for the facilitation/distribution of promotional giveaways. • Coordinates operational logistics for major Target Field events, including concerts • Coordinates specific facility-related recovery efforts related to emergency response and disaster recovery QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous experience working in facility operations or environmental services in a mid- to large facility • Previous experience managing/supervising in-house or contract facility operations or environmental services personnel • Previous experience in a stadium, arena, or other large public assembly facility is preferred • Previous experience with contract management is preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to move around the facility for extended periods of time, including ascending and descending stairs • Ability to physically operate mechanical equipment, such as forklifts and industrial vehicles
