The MOST FAMOUS DJ ever is sadly in his FINAL countdown. As a kid growing up, I was mesmerized by radio and one particular voice that I would hear every weekend... Casey Kasem. There was no Twitter, texting, Facebook, email, and internet to instantly give information and knowledge about artists and songs. We turned to Casey for all the in-depth goings on with every artist. Then the great stories and long distance dedications were icing on the cake. It was fun to listen to Casey... I looked forward to it every week. Casey is certainly a big reason so many of us became broadcasters. We loved the show, the production, the style. We wanted an opportunity to be behind the curtain, just like him. After todays court ruling, Casey will not resume artificial feeding and fluids... sealing the inevitable. I, and so many broadcasters, will miss Casey and that familiar voice we all became so accustomed to hearing. So with one final long distance dedication, this ones for you Casey...
