The Man in the Mirror Part 2 Humans, we, or is it I, are created with a need for deep relationship but the cultivation of such intimacies is difficult to measure! How will I know when those from whom I desire value and closeness actually engage with me in such meaningful ways? While we have common human characteristics, part of the dilemma is the ways in which we are different. It’s not just about preferences in taste such as favorite foods, music, colors, but ways in which our inner beings differ. We tend to project our ways of interpreting expressions, mood, body language, other means of communication (such as how quickly a person responds to our prompts verbally, electronically, etc.) into the development of relationships. There are many angles to consider which point to the complexity of human relationships: How we prefer to learn things, how we like to receive information (auditory, visually, touch/body motion) known in education as “Learning Modality,” vary from person to person.
