The Market Women Leader in Igbanke West, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Mrs. Theresa Oligie, has called on all market women in the area to ensure they register to vote in the forthcoming, elections, so as to exercise their right of franchise. Speaking with newsmen in her country home, Mrs. Oligie charged all political aspirants and the entire political class to adhere to the dictates of the constitution in the forthcoming elections, stressing that politics is not a do or die affairs but a game like football. She added that politicians should desist from using Nigerian youths as thugs to manipulate electoral processes, while she urged all youths in the area and the entire nation not to be lured into thuggery and violence. Speaking further, Mrs. Oligie pointed out that Edo State needs candidates that can sustain the momentum by picking up the legacy of the Comrade Governor which he will lay down for the next Governor of the state. She thanked the Edo State Market Women Leader, Mrs. Josephine Omoregie (JP) aka Blacky, for her good leadership in carrying all market women in the state along. She prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, and resources to pilot the affairs of the market women in the state to greater heights.
