The Martin family sent me an email earlier today that they wanted me to share with any future Parkwood residents. They want everyone to know how much they love their community and their home. Here is what they sent: To the potential Summit Custom Homes neighbors of Parkwood at Stoney Creek: My family and I moved into our new home in October of 2013. Weve been house stalking homes for the past 3 years, and looking at various builders & subdivisions in our home purchase process. We honestly stumbled across this little gold mine of an area off of Highway 150 one weekend...and simply could not dismiss its extrinsic value! Summit Custom Homes completed a beautiful home for us to purchase! We cant express enough accolades regarding our home. My wife: Well, she orbits the Earth regularly now; shes just so pleased(happy wife=happy life gentlemen! Hint-hint-wink)!! - And dont get me started with friends and family that come over now...more so than before because of the home! We simply enjoy the home environment that we have, and thats been created by our purchase! Secondly, my wife and I really came into an understanding of an important factor during our home purchase process...NEIGHBORS. Well, I can honestly say...our developing street and the adjacent homes of the area...has some of the best, friendliest neighbors Ive had the pleasure of meeting. - And for those we havent met...Ive done the wave test. You know, while youre driving down the neighborhood street...in order to check the friendly meter of the area homes...you wave at whos out and about! ...They have ALL waved back - each time. I happen to like that. To us, it says our neighbors are approachable and friendly. Who wants neighbors that are negative, anti-social, NOT child-friendly, grouchy, or Ill-tempered towards nit-picking behaviors(my side of the street-your side of the street-your little tree put leaves on my side of the lawn, etc.)??? No, were honestly so pleased with our home, Summit Custom Homes as a builder, and our neighbors of Parkwood at Stoney Creek! Furthermore - and not to sound like any advertisement - but...my family and I have the average critical necessities we observed with Parkwood at Stoney Creek. Its located off of a major road(Highway 150), so were certain not to have to worry about the snow plowing during harsh winters. Were 15 to 20 minutes from major shopping and restaurants, and less than that from choices of grocery stores! I personally like to survey my area as Im driving around...noticing different things. Ive noticed two High schools, middle schools, and elementary schools in the area, and from what Im told...their performance levels are good. ...By having kids of our own, thats very important to us. Overall, the location is fantastic for shopping or downtown Kansas City access. Summit Custom Homes have ALWAYS been very accommodating, and will definitely help you where possible! I consider myself a straight shooter...edges intact. -And we truly like Summit Custom Homes customer service, and building quality. The homes are simply beautiful(wide choices to choose from), the neighbors are great, and theyre two community pools for summer dips within Parkwood at Stoney Creek! We REALLY dont want to sound cliché but hey...truth is truth. So, if youre interested, welcome to the neighborhood!! - The Martins
