The Masque of the Red Death 1964 U.K. This is a gothic horror movie whose hero is Death. The red death plague spreads in the village and only the Castle of Prince Prospero, who sold soul to Satan, is a safe place. The red-cloaked Death saves Francesca, a peasant girl who is beeing brainwashed by Prospero in the castle. In the last scene, the Red Death meets with his fellow Deaths. Its very funny that each one is wearing a different colored robe. On the other hand there are some dialogs between Prospero and the RedDeath, that remind us of the Seventh Seal of Bergman; Prospero: Excellency, I thought you were the Ambassador of Satan. The Red Death: Death has no master. Prospero: Satan killed God. So he is the ruler of all. The Death: Each man creates his own God for himself.
