“The Maules Creek mine sits in an area that is critically endangered bushland and the attempt to get a clearing permit during the spring/early summer months was inappropriate and unacceptable. “It is a pity that it took the community to enforce what should have been a basic safeguard. What benefit is there to have so much taxpayer money spent on employing government people to protect our environment when the people of NSW have to take a stand to make sure they do their jobs!!??
