The Meaning of Mabugo to me!!! Dear Brothers and Sisters, I thank you so much for all the emotional, physical and financial support you have rendered to me and my family members during this very trying time when we lost our dear father and friend! I have received different types of responses to the face book message I sent earlier. I have read through all the responses but I am not yet able to respond to you individually, I will do this in the coming few days and weeks and will meet with some of you personally to say thank you so much!!! This is not a mere thank you but no words can be used to replace thank you and to demonstrate my deep inner feelings. I will elaborate on only two of the many things I have learnt during this time; 1. My Dads death has brought me back to touch with reality.......!!!!! 2. I have learnt the meaning of condolences but let me detail the financial condolences (Mabugo) a bit As I told you earlier many of my brothers and sisters are relatively well placed; Mr. Shafic Sekalala my older brother is the Director of Madrasa Resource Center. My Younger Brother Hadad Sekabembe and Sister Sarah Nabiwembe are Managers in UgaChick. Mr. Musa Nsubuga is a building contractor. Mr. Sekalo Muhammad (Jr) is a Head Master. The others Mr Yahya Nsubuga, Madam Latifa Namutebi, Mr Farid Kiddawalime, Mr. Othman Bulondo and Madam Hindu Nankya refer to them selves as international teachers!!! The remaining siblings are younger but all very proud! But listen to this; Our Dad died shortly before mid-night on the 25th of March 2014. Plans were hatched to have him transported to Rakai very early in the morning before 8 am. At this time I had a 10k UGShs in my wallet and zero balance on all ATMs. The immediate family members all had 6 hrs in the night to access their bank accounts as they would be travelling most of Wednesday and part of Thursday. In short, we had no money!!! We relied entirely on your Mabugo to rest our Dad!!! Banange, on behalf of the family of the late Haj Sekalo and on my own behalf, I thank you so much for all the contributions, moral support and condolence messages that have kept us comfortable in this terrible time. Temujja nga okwo!!! I pray that Allah rewards all of you abundantly!!! Hakim Sendagire
