Subject Bart Special Guests Garry ODonnell, Mausa Munro, Doctor D Detroit Crown on the Beach Melbourne 7pm Saturday 2nd Black Tie and Fancy Dress Mask Required I Was having a champagne breakfast at the Coolibah Hotel with the Men of League Boys when I received the above invitation, the boys didnt know about my close association with the great man Bart. So hear we are at the Voleuse De Couers French Restaurant at Crown, my great mate Doc Detroit dressed up as the Masked Marvel while I naturally dressed up as the Lone Ranger, we were escorted to our seat by Red Cadeaux the Sydney Socialite Who had organised the night we finished up sitting next to the American Rock Singer Dan Dino and his lovely partner Verema the beauty Queen. The night kicked off with the Irish comedian Simenon telling some Bart jokes by this time everyone was looking around for Bart to arrive, then the host of this is your life channel 9 newsreader Chuck Fawkner walked out and said this your life Bart with a drum roll Bart arrived on stage looking confused as to why he was there, Bart looked Super Cool in a Black Seville Row suit and a Dracula mask he grabbed the microphone and said in a French accent Tres Blue will win the Melbourne Cup the crowd irrupted with a standing ovation ,Bart was taken Over to a nice armchair and was handed a glass of Fiorente Red and a Dunaden cigar. Behind the curtain a voice boomed out remember me Bart I walked to the top of Mount Athos with you the largest mountain in Ethiopia ,I was with you when you were attacked by that Brown Panther in Africa I remember Doc Detroit putting 45 stitches in the wound they were the good times. Chuck turned to Bart and said here is your old friend Rusello Ibicenco the famous Russian General friend for over 50 years the crowd went wild Bart puffed on his cigar and had a sip of red and said who the F..k are you I have never seen you before and I dont even walk up steps let alone Mt Athos the crowd gave Bart-another standing ovation , I was then asked to take the stage with Barts Granddaughter Dear Demi his pride and joy,I felt better when Bart nodded to me and offered me a glass of Red,Bart and I were old drinking mates we meet at the Hawkspur caravan park in the sixties while on holidays and we spent a lot of good times at the Royal Empire hotel drinking bottles of Sea Moon Chardonnay . Dear Demi sung the National Anthem-for her pop Barts favourite song. Then Bart requested to sing a Frank Sinatra song Green Moon half way through it Barts butler Mourayan walked over to Bart and said Boss its Blue Moon the crowd went ballistic. During an add break Bart went into a sound sleep it was pass his bedtime. The crowd shouted out Bart, Bart, Bart as Bart was wheeled out he woke up and said who was that Russian General. The night was officially over. As usual I left out 1 horse that might run a race at a big price you dont have to be a fortune teller to find it.
