The Mermaid Royalty She dwell in the sea green house of her guardian The mermaid swam alone day after day The seed of the water god Neptune As beautiful as mornings rays On days of boredom She swam with the dolphins Riding high on churning rolling waves Other times with giant whales dive deep Or play in coral filled bay Tickling red crabs that walked on the sandy bottom Exploring the Octopus caves Floating with the deadly jellyfish Keeping her tail very still Or wiggling through the currents of the ocean With the graceful ribbon eel Time passed She became weary Wanting to rest her head Return to the green kelp palace And did sleep on watery bed This poem is copyrighted and stored in author base.
