The Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Dr. Surujrattan Rambachan, has authorised the opening of the westbound lane of the Priority Bus Route to the public from Barataria to Port of Spain from 6pm till 3am daily. Motorists will be allowed to use this roadway until the milling and paving project on the Westbound lane of the Beetham Highway is completed. Rehabilitation works are currently underway along the westbound lane of the Beetham Highway from the Barataria Overpass to the NP Overpass. These works began on Monday 26th May, 2014 and are expected to be completed in one month.
