The Minnesota Vikings have gone into todays game as heavy underdogs but have exceeded expectations--not tough considering how low the expectations were. The Vikings defense has managed to force the Seahawks to punt a few times this game, but has also given up long pass plays to the Seahawks Doug Baldwin. On offense, Christian Ponders shoulder injury isnt proving a problem for him with 9/13. Peterson has been running into a loaded box, like he has for the last few seasons, and has 35 yards on 14 carries. Carlson, Wright, and Patterson have two catches each. Perhaps the most interesting stat is that the Vikings time of possession is 18:17 to the Seahawks 11:43. But the Vikings are down 14 points and need to answer back quickly to avoid getting any further behind and give themselves a chance to take the lead. That could be difficult because the Seahawks seem to have picked up momentum as the game has gone on and they get the ball to start the second half. Seattle 24, Vikings 13.
