The Minnesota legislature has passed a medical marijuana bill, and the governor has announced he is going to sign it. This makes Minnesota the 22nd medical marijuana state. We are well on our way to having medical marijuana in half the states in the US. Meanwhile here in Oklahoma, a little girl with terrible seizures has to be taken away to Colorado to get life saving medicine. Not only does the family have to deal with all her medical expenses, but they have to deal with all the expenses of uprooting their lives and moving to another state. Meanwhile here in Oklahoma, my client, a medical marijuana patient from Arizona that was just passing through Oklahoma on I-44, is being fully prosecuted by the esteemed Rogers County District Attorney for felony possession of marijuana--his medicine. Meanwhile here in Oklahoma, 95%, or so, of our most highly esteemed legislators will not even consider a medical marijuana bill.
