The Mt Marrow hazard reduction burn has moved into the mopping up phase of this fire. Chris Tobin from Minden RFB and Josh from Marburg RFB are blacking out the black. Minden RFB would like to thank Chris for working in the Incident Management Team tonight and helping support and share the responsibility of the information flow between ground crews and the Incident Controller. Daniel, trainee Sector Commander from Pine Mt, is pictured below helping Kylie foam down behind the Mt Marrow workshops. Daniel has done an exceptional job tonight under the watchful eye of John Murphy who is seasoned as Sector Commander, Divisional Commander and Operations Officer. Control burns not only reduce fuel loads for the pending fire season they also provide opportunities for honing fundamental fire fighting skills.
