The Multnomah County Cultural Coalition (MCCC) announces their 2015 Community Cultural Participation Grant Program deadline. This year, up to $60,000 will be awarded to community-based cultural events, programs, organizations and neighborhood associations that foster a community that is opportunity-rich in cultural offerings, make culture more accessible and affordable to Multnomah County residents or encourage new cultural activities and organizations. The 2015 grant cycle application is now available online: racc.org/grants/countyapps/ Deadline for applications: October 13, 2014, 5:00 p.m. WHO CAN APPLY? Any not-for-profit organization is eligible to apply for a CCP grant of up to $2,000 to be used for a specific event, program or activity, as long as it is open to the public. This includes registered neighborhood associations, groups of citizens with a declared common purpose consistent with the goals of this grant program, and organizations with IRS 501©(3) status. However, IRS 501©(3) status is not required. Applications must clearly demonstrate how the funds will help the proposed cultural event, program, or activity to become more accessible and/or affordable to Multnomah County residents or encourage new cultural activities and organizations. Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend a Grant Orientation on Thursday, September 25, 11:00am-12:30pm, at the Multnomah County Central Library US Bank Room (801 SW 10th Ave in Downtown) OR on Saturday, October 4, 10:30-12:00pm at the Multnomah County Midland Library Small Conference Room (105 SE 122nd Ave). Please note: The deadline for MCCC grants has changed. The MCCC’s Community Cultural Participation (CCP) grant cycle has changed to better align with reporting requirements of the Oregon Cultural Trust. All funded activities must take place between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.
