The Music Kitchen was the venue for this years launch of the 2013 Hillock Wines. What an amazing evening!!!!! Kudos to both Penny and Andy for the show that they put on tonight........ The wines were absolutely surpurb ......After having a little taste of each wine, Mrs Claw who is a red wine girl, chose their newest red to put on her order sheet. All animal lovers will relate to the fact that this wine is named after a rescue dog called Harry and really is divine...... The music was great and had Mrs C’s foot tapping and shoulders doing their thing..... The food, well where does one begin??? Penny absolutely excelled herself as usual She has to be the hostess with the most in this town as well as at her Guest House. Starters as you would have seen if you follow Mrs C’s posts, was a delightful morsel of smoked salmon Rosti with cream cheese and a sprig of fennel......delectable. The courses were well spaced and of just the right portion size as to leave room for the next.......After the salmon came a brushetta with an amazing fushin of flavours, and beautifully presented......Third came a little ramekin with prawn risotto......sublime.......... This was followed by a Moroccan style chicken with chickpeas and coriander.......a firm favourite of Mrs C. Next on the list came an adorable miniature hamburger the flavours were perfection and this too was perfectly executed. The semi final was an amazing piece of fillet steak a perfect portion with a stunning creamy sauce......Wow and just when one thought it could never get any better..............the most orgasmic slice of chocolate cake with a dollop of cream.........!!!! This was a meal that can only be described as heavenly.....Thank you Penny for your amazing attention to detail and for the love that you put into your amazing creations...... Well done Andy, we all think your wine is great and stuff what that old fart said about you loving your wine – and so you should.......And have every right to be proud of yourself and your achievements. The turnout tonight was as one can well imagine a full house! The local celebs were out in force tonight and a jolly time was had by all..... All in all a highly successful event....Thanks for the invite!!!
