The Mystery of Redemption Elisha prayed for his servant. He did - TopicsExpress

The Mystery of Redemption Elisha prayed for his servant. He did not pray, “Oh, God, just help my servant to be more dedicated. He’s just not dedicated enough. Lord, just help him to die right now like a real soldier.” He did not pray, “Oh God, we need you to do something! God, show up or it’s all over right now!” The prophet prayed the same prayer as Ephesians 1. He said, “Lord, I pray for you to open his eyes that he may see…” (2 Kings 6:17). The stressed out servant said, “My eyes are open. Can’t you see my eyes are open?” The prophet said, “Yeah, but you need some glasses.” When Elisha prayed, “Lord, open his eyes,” the servant saw the same thing that Elisha saw. He saw that God had sent angels and chariots of fire that surrounded Elisha and surrounded the army. There was no reason to be afraid. Even with his natural eyes open, the servant lacked the power of supernatural vision. The prophet of God in those days was called a “seer” because the Spirit of God gave him supernatural vision. The “seer” prayed for the “non-seer” and his eyes were opened. When his vision was changed, everything was changed.
