The Myths of BAHUJAN concept.... The terminology Bahujan which Buddha himself was coined and used for the welfare of the society was nothing to do with the terminology Bahujan used by Bahujan Samaj Party or BAMCEF.The Buddhas Bahujan was the welfare of the maximum did not indicate any discriminatory and divisive kind of ideology which was propogated by Kanshiram and his supporters.Buddha never wanted to divide society on the basis of Arya and Anarya. It is very foolish on our part to consider Arya as synonymous with the Bramhins. The word originally derived from the Pali word Ariyo the person who is leading a very noble, dignified life. The ideology of Bahujan has its roots in Mahatma Fules Gulamgiri where he considered Aryan as foreign invaders and exploiters of the non-Aryans which he called other than the Bramhins. Babasaheb in his Who were the Shudras and The Untouchables repudiated this theory of Aryans as foreign invaders and instead remarked that Aryans and untouchables and Shudras were indigenous people and the basis of the slavery of the untouchables was their religion. The ancient history of India is strewn with the struggle between Hinduism and Buddhism. My point is that Buddha never divided society on the basis of casteist and racial lines. His sangha included the people from all the sections of the society.80% Bhikshus were from Bramhins and Kshatriyas.Buddha himself was a Kshatriya. In that condition how could Buddha demarcate society in the watertight compartments like Bramhin, Kshatriya, Vaishya on the one side and OBCs and untouchables on another. It is very ridiculous to know that many of the so called Ambedkarite Intellectuals misinterpret the word Bahujan signifying it as the people from OBC,SC,ST and Minority caegory. To hell with this ideology.Buddha and Babasaheb never divided the society in such warring camps.Hence it is the duty of Ambedkarites to read and understand original literature of Babasaheb and propagate his views in essence rather than adding flavor and spices of their thoughts. Otherwise it would be leading people on wrong path.Beware of such people.Buddha’s ‘Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay’ was for the maximum welfare of the maximum people irrespective of the division of caste, creed, race amd gender, etc.Babasaheb caught the same thread of Buddha in his speech, action and literature.Hence it is the need of the hour to understand Buddhism from the perspective of Babasaheb.Otherwise the divisive politics will rule Dhamma which would be eventually prove dangerous for its growth.
