The NAO has today launched a public consultation on a draft Code of Audit Practice for the audit of local public bodies: ow.ly/BGBHm For 2015-16 audits onwards, the responsibilities of the Audit Commission and Monitor to produce Codes of Audit Practice for auditors of relevant local public bodies will pass to the Comptroller and Auditor General, as part of wider changes brought in by the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014. We invite you to contribute your views on the draft Code. The deadline for responses is 31 October 2014.
