The NBA draft is one of the greatest nights of my life. 18 years ago my daughter ashley was born on draft night. I remember the celtics were up to make their pick. The nurse reaches up to turn the television off.I said no no no.she said are u serious?? I said yes I am.And this is a true story lol. Well three minutes later the Boston Celtics chose Antoine Walker three and a half minutes later my best friend for life and my brother Brad hunter ( stu) called room and says the Celtics took Antoine Walker I said I know I know but I really have to go the baby is being born 4 minutes later I had a daughter. And I knew at that moment it was her destiny to be a celtics fan and anyone who knows her knows she is 1 of the biggest die hard fans ever... And that time we had no idea whether it was going to be a boy or a girl. And when they told me it was a girl I could not have been more proud. And here it is 18 years later and Im still just as proud of her shes gone for my baby to a little girl to a teenager.to a young woman to a best friend who starts college this fall. Ashley as your dad it has been an honor and a privilege to watch you grow. And I cannot wait for the next 18 more years. To continue to watch you grow even more again I cannot put into words how proud I am of you I love you very very much happy birthday ash
