The NFL and its shills on sports talk radio constantly flaunt its supremacy over MLB. Thus, to me, its refreshing that all four teams left in MLBs postseason are in cities where baseball is king over pro football. Of course, LA hasnt had an NFL team since 1994, when the Raiders and Rams left without many tears being shed, and without much of a clamor for its return. The Patriots are really New Englands team, not Bostons, and despite the Pats success, in Beantown proper they may be a distant fourth after the Sox, Bruins and Celtics. Back in the Lions heyday in the 1950s, they may have been the Tigers equal in Detroit, but no more. Pure and simple, St. Louis is a baseball town, as the football Cardinals (in St. Louis from 1960-1987, after moving from Chicago, until moving to Phoenix, unloved in all places) and the Rams since 1995 have learned.
