The NFL rumor mill has been working overtime...looks like The Cards Larry Fitzgerald will be leaving Arizona, perhaps even by the trade deadline on Tuesday. Cant say I saw that one coming. Fitzgerald is due to make a veritable boatload next season, which probably prices him beyond the reach of the Green Bay Packers. And after several seasons in the desert, Fitzgerald might not even want to play at Lambeau. Having said all of that, Id like to think the Packers front office is astute enough to recognize an opportunity (like this one) when it presents itself. The prospect of Fitzgerald catching passes in Green Bay is certainly worth investigating. And for what its worth, excepting Rodgers and probably Mathews, everyone else would be trade bait to get this guy on the Packers roster. Hes that good. I doubt they would go and get him (names like Lacy, Jones , Nelson and Raji - all fan favorites- would have to be thrown around). But imagine if Rodgers has a No, 1 WR to go to like Fitzgerald. Hed immediately be the best receiving threat the Packers have had, since Sterling Sharpe of the 90s. Providing the Pack doesnt give up the farm, he could be just what we need to go to another Super Bowl THIS YEAR.
