The NHS gets lots of negative comments and not enough positive ones. Well here is a POSITIVE. Yesterday at about 3pm my OH had another heart attack in the middle of a retail park in Colchester. Ambulance came within minutes and he was taken with blue light flashing straight to Basildon Hospital (area specialist cardiac unit about 35mins away) for treatment. He was taken straight up to the cardiac unit where they were waiting and immediately went for an angiogram and had another stent in his heart fitted. He was back on the ward by 5.50pm where he is now recovering. His treatment was marvellous but so was the kindness shown to myself by the ambulance and hospital staff. Thank you NHS.
