The NYPD made public a surveillance video on Monday, December 22, of a man said to be Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who is suspected of shooting and killing of two New York City police officers. The video purports to show Ismaaiyl Brinsley entering the Atlantic Mall in Brooklyn before he allegedly walked up to two officers in a parked squad car and shot them dead. The officers, Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were shot and killed as they sat in a marked squad car in Brooklyn on December 20, New York Police Commissioner William Bratton said. The suspect in the shooting then shot and killed himself, police said. The funeral of Ramos will be held on December 27 at a church in Glendale, New York, police said. The funeral of Liu, his partner, has yet to be announced while officials, including in the federal government, assist in helping Liu’s relatives in China travel to the United States.
