The NYS Rotax Championship was last race of 2014. It`s one to remember for good and for bad. The schedule went NYS pre-final, OVRP club final, and then NYS final. Nick showed great speed only a few tenths off pole. Did i mention it was his first time in a kart in over 2 months? Anyway, Nick had a fantastic pre-final battle with Mike Gregory for 2nd place (where he finished). After going out during the Club final for testing, he pulled in after 4 laps happy with the changes. For the final nick was on outside pole. after dropping to 3rd nick and another driver after battling lap after lap made contact in which gave nick a flat tire. Nick tried to complete the race but 4 laps later his tire went down. Both nick and the other driver were put out but no penalties awarded. Neither of the drivers were put at blame and they resolved any conflicts with apologies after the race.
