The National Center for diagnosis & qualify learning difficulties The National Center for diagnosis & qualify learning disabilities was established with an initiative from Jod Institute for Special Education in Palestine 2013, as the first specialized center in diagnosing, treating & taking care of students with learning difficulties. It’s licensed from the Palestinian Ministry of Education. The National Center for diagnosis & qualify learning difficulties believes that all children need a special care to achieve their aspirations, to reach their goals to become a successful members in the society. The goals: 1- Diagnosis students with learning difficulties who visit the center, under the supervision of their schools & their parents, to put an individual educational plan to each one of them. 2- Provide the children’s parents & the competent centers with certified scientific diagnostic reports about the degree of the learning difficulty that the child experiencing, & the scientific plan to early interfere to reduce it. 3- Training teachers to reach the level to occupy the function as “source teacher” or what called “resource room teacher” at school. 4- The public awareness of the learning difficulties problem, by using various media methods & educational concerns. 5- Putting & adapting tests for learning difficulties diagnose in mental, perceptual & academic fields. 6- Developing the scientific diagnosis service for people with learning difficulties according to the scientific standards that globally adopted. 7- Develop the capacity of competent centers & civil society institutions in fields like diagnosing & dealing with children with learning difficulties. 8- Training staff at the competent institutions on diagnosis, to build the national capacity for it. 9- Dissemination the best practices, global & regional experiences in the diagnosis field, to make it a Palestinian establishment.
