The National Hurricane Center is currently tracking Hurricane Iselle which is still more that 1450 miles ESE of Hilo as of 9am HST Sunday. The 5 day white forecast cone brings Iselle as a Tropical Storm over or near the Big Island overnight Thursday / early Friday morning, with the other islands still outside of that 5 day range. Due to uncertainty of the track and intensity at 5 days and beyond, we cannot speculate on impacts (i.e. rainfall, wind, surge) to the state yet.
