The National Kidney Foundation, NKF, will build four more dialysis centres in the next two to three years. NKF Chairman Koh Poh Tiong said the new centres will serve the north, west and central areas of Singapore. Mr Koh said the number of kidney patients is growing at an alarming rate, with four new patients being diagnosed a day, compared to three in 2006. Mr Koh said he hopes the new centres, which will cost between 1.5 to 2 million dollars to build, can be operationally ready by 2015. Meanwhile, Come November, NKF will welcome a new CEO. 55-year-old Mr Edmund Kwok will take over from existing CEO Mrs Eunice Tay. Mr Kwok has 33 years of experience in the transportation and healthcare industry, and is currently the NKFs Chief Operating Officer. -938LIVE/rr
