The National New Play Network is looking for an arts management - TopicsExpress

The National New Play Network is looking for an arts management and technology intern to support the January 15, 2014 nationwide launch of the New Play Exchange, a script discovery and recommendation engine designed to connect playwrights and producers in the new play sector. The right candidate will be (at least) comfortable with technology AND (at least) familiar with the basics of theatrical programming and script evaluation. The selected intern will be responsible for providing part-time technical support for registered users of the system and, to a lesser extent, helping administrators moderate the system as well. Although the internship is not a paid position, NNPN expects to support the selected intern in leveraging the data contained in the system for the completion of academic coursework; the internship is expected to last until the end of the spring 2015 semester. The internship will also include training and experience with agile technology development for the arts. In addition, although NNPN headquarters is based in Washington, DC, interns need not be local to the area. Interested parties should submit a resume to Gwydion Suilebhan, Project Director, at [email protected]. The position will remain open until it is filled.
